Day 1

The first day of our Arizona Road trip was both a interesting and tiring. We started our first day at 2:00 in the morning, and were on our first flight to Atlanta at 5:45. From there we switched planes, and were headed to our final destination of Las Vegas, Nevada. My flight was delayed almost an hour because the co-pilot failed to be prompt. Once we got there the airport was amazing. It was huge and had slot machines everywhere. The rush was both exciting and intense. The other flight that had flown American Airlines were already there waiting for us as we boarded the shuttle to take us to our next destination: Wal-Mart. Because the drivers had to get the RVs, and watch a short video about safety, we were stuck at Wal-Mart with Ms. Meyer and our entire luggage, in a parking lot. Every person that rode by stared at us like we were either homeless or had some real mental issues. We went into Wal-Mart with two people from each RV. Our task was to buy a weeks worth of food for our entire RV. We stayed there 2 hours waiting for our drivers to return and waiting for people to come back from shopping. Once the RVs were there we loaded up our food and our luggage, which took another 2 hours. With our crazy driver, my RV was stuck cleaning up after ourselves after every turn.

We were in Las Vegas maybe 6 hours until we encountered some problems. One of the RVs had a gas leak and we had to return it and the people from that RV had to transfer all of their food and luggage, again. With that we were off to the Hoover Dam. It was beautiful and most girls took their share of photos. After that, we had dinner at a diner on Route 66. THe last stop of the day was the RV Park and Lake Havasu. Once we got there we took showers and our day ended with a peaceful rest.
