Ms. Dickinson's RV: February 22 - 23

Hello all, this is the first time we have had internet since we've been here so apologies for the late post. Yesterday we arrived in sin city after a long, hot, and uncomfortable flight. We were grumpy but once we entered Arizona it became clear that the misery that is airline flights was all worth it. The Hoover Dam was a sight to see, the sheer mass of the ravine itself was overwhelming. The workers are building a new bridge over the ravine... it's HUGE (google image it). We crossed over the London Bridge but I'm sad to say everyone in Ms. Dickinson's RV missed it.. we were all sleeping (read the above post about the long, hot, and uncomfortable flight). We finally arrived at our camp grounds much to everyone's pleasure. Today we woke up and were atonished by our beautiful surroundings... who knew the desert was this beautiful? We then journeyed to Yuma were we sailed up the Colorado River. This river surprisingly doesn't drain into the ocean. Our tour guide was quite loquacious.. by the end it is safe to say that no one particularly cared about how to make a spear. We saw pictures on rocks that ancient peoples had carved thousands of years ago. The landscape surrounding the river was one of the most beautiful sights I've ever seen.. it looked like something straight out of National Geographic. Anyways to sum up the last two days, our long trip was made absolutely worth it by the beauty of Arizona.
